NAWADA: CM
Nitish Kumar said an all-round development of society can't be achieved without women. That's why he was ensuring at least 30% of jobs reserved for women.
Bihar has the maximum number of women in police force compared to other states of the country, he said during his Samadhan Yatra in Nawada on Sunday.
While inspecting the newly built Government Engineering College at Nawada, he stressed that at least 30% of the seats would be reserved for women in every engineering or medical institution in the state.
Nitish visited Kabirpur Mahadalit tola under Bhagwanpur panchayat in Nawada block and inspected the stalls set up by the women self-help groups sponsored by the state government. He said at least 10 lakh 'Jeevikas' would be set up in Bihar to augment and promote speedy development of Bihar.
He assured the people of Nawada to make available the Ganga water to every household by this year-end.
However, he evaded media's query on the much-needed development of Kakolat waterfall, the main tourist attraction of the district.
